Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 is seemingly going by in a blink of an eye, as the latest season enters into Week 8 — with just two more to follow after. That means players can now take advantage of the current week’s batch of new challenges to earn a bevy of XP. Their requirements are even fairly straightforward, as a majority only consist of finding and using common items around the island. Here’s every new challenge within Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Week 8. 🔴 👉 𝐂𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 🔴 👉 𝐂𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 Although the season has primarily released challenges that involve doing damage, Week 8 finally lends players a much-needed break from gunfights. This is because most of its seasonal quests include more peaceful activities, such as searching Produce Boxes or Ice Machines and simply pinging different types of items. No matter their objective, each of the seven challenges grant 20,000 XP upon completion, meaning a total of 140,000 XP is up for the taking. You can each Week 8 challenge and their requirements below. Collect weapons from eliminated players (0/2) Hit an opponent with a Firefly Jar (0/1) Search Produce Boxes, Ice Machines, or Coolers (0/5) Launch into the using Launch Pads in different matches (0/3) Mark a weapon, a vehicle, and a fish in a single match (0/3) Throw Cow Catchers or Off-Road Tires (0/3) Deal damage to opponents using shotguns from 15 meters away or less (0/100) Related: How to get the Pickle Rick Back Bling in Fortnite Aside from weekly challenges, the battle royale is also featuring an entirely separate questline for Chrome Punk. Despite not rewarding XP, its set of challenges task players with increasing their account level in order to earn the character’s very own skin, Loading Screen, and Chromeseed Back Bling. It will certainly take numerous victories to level up fast for the rewards, though the new Dial-A-Drop item does offer top-tier weapons and healing supplies to make this grind easier.

Roblox could be in trouble going forward as it struggles to sustain booking growth in the medium-term, according to JPMorgan. Analyst David Karnovsky downgraded the stock to neutral from overweight and cut his price target to $35 from $53. The new price target implies a smaller upside of 19.2% as the stock sees cooled growth in bookings with more variability than expected by the firm. 🔴 👉 𝐂𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 🔴 👉 𝐂𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 "We continue to be believers in the shoppingmode Roblox platform long-term and view it as a leader in the emerging metaverse category, though at this point see upside to shares as limited and volatility likely to continue," Karnovsky said in a note to clients. "We move to the sidelines and look for better conviction on bookings re-acceleration or improving profitability." The video gaming company saw shares fall 21% on Wednesday after it reported a larger-than-expected loss for the quarter, even though revenue came in above estimates. Karnovsky said shoppingmode Roblox's bookings – which he sees as a driver of total sales – did not grow as much as expected. He expects booking growth to exit the mid-teen growth rate and stay down in 2023. Karnovsky also pointed to Roblox lowering its EBITDA forecasts to less than 10% "'at least through 2023.'" Now, Karnovsky said there's a lack of visibility around operating leverage, making it harder to see potential upsides and decreasing what he sees as the margin for error within booking growth. Still, he said the company's bookings is trending in the right direction. Karnovsky said Roblox could be boosted out of this slowdown by new features and products not currently priced in. But he said there's also downside potential if competition picks up or a worsening economic backdrop that would prompt slides in consumer spending. Ultimately, Karnovsky said there's still long-term value potential in Roblox. He's just waiting to see a restoration of the prior growth rate in bookings in the near term. "While we expect a re-acceleration in growth in 2023, we believe multiple expansion will be limited in the medium term absent a material outperformance in bookings or greater visibility into improvement in profitability," he said. The stock was down 70% compared with the start of 2022 after Wednesday's slide. — CNBC's Michael Bloom contributed to this report.

TikTok quietly launched “scores” for influences, ranking content creators on factors such as enthusiasm and their willingness to promote products, according to a new report in MarketWatch. Internal documents show that TikTok discussed plans to provide these social media credit scores to its business partners under strict secrecy. As the short-form video app works to turn its exploding popularity into a sustainable business, the company is particularly focused on introducing a shopping platform where you can buy products through the app. These scores for influences are a part of that effort. 🔴 👉 𝐂𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 🔴 👉 𝐂𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 TikTok spelled the plan out in documents shared with retailers and brands, all of them labeled confidential. The scores are intended to help companies figure out which creators to partner with. As MarketWatch explained, the company ranks creators on a number of metrics: These included a “cooperation index,” meant to measure how enthusiastic that creator is when working with brands, a “diligence index,” meant to measure how willing they were to load their feeds up with shoppable products, and more. TikTok shared an interface with potential business partners in which creators are sorted by their influence in certain product categories, the amount of content they produce, how successful that content is, and how well videos drives sales. Influencers are also rated on how “collaborative” and “consistent” they are. TikTok didn’t respond to a request for comment. Influencer marketing is an enormous and ever growing industry. Until recently, businesses mostly had directly relationships with the creators they partnered with. But TikTok and other companies want in on the action. The company launched tools to make sponsored content a formal part of the app, helping companies find and partner with the right influencers. That gives TikTok insight into this corner of the economy and creates an opportunity for the company to snag a share of the profits.

On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, Bleed Cubbie Blue is pleased to present a light-hearted, Cubs-centric look at baseball’s colorful past, with plenty of the lore and various narratives to follow as they unfold over the course of time. Here’s a handy Cubs timeline, to help you follow along. Today in baseball history: 🔴 👉 𝐂𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 🔴 👉 𝐂𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 1912 - Frank Chance is sold by the Chicago Cubs to the Cincinnati Reds. When all National League clubs waive claims to him in December, the Reds free Chance to manage the Yankees. (2) 1925 - Rabbit Maranville is waived to the Brooklyn Robins from the Chicago Cubs. (2) 1953 - Reaffirming its earlier position, the United States Supreme Court rules, 7-2, that baseball is a sport and not a business and therefore not subject to antitrust laws. The ruling is made in a case involving New York Yankees minor leaguer George Toolson, who refused to move from Triple-A to Double-A. (1,2) 1976 - The Oakland Athletics give future Hall of Famer Billy Williams his unconditional release, ending his 18-year major league career. The final moments of the opening ceremonies for the 2022 League of Legends World Championship featured star performer Lil Nas X seemingly lifted into the air by the hand of a giant mech while a championship trophy floated around him. It was an impressive display of artistic vision and technical expertise — and it’s also the reason Carrie Dunn, creative director for Riot esports, has been a little stressed of late. “Any time you hoist a cultural superstar in the air for your finale,” she says, “there’s anxiety in that.” 🔴 👉 𝐂𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 🔴 👉 𝐂𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 Worlds is the highlight of League’s competitive calendar, with the finals pitting two teams against each other who have worked all year for a chance at the trophy. This year’s edition featured the return of the legendary Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok — known by the incredible nickname the “unkillable demon king” — and his team T1 facing off against fellow Korean side DRX. But as appealing as the actual games are, often, the opening ceremony steals the show. In the past, League developer Riot has employed holograms and augmented reality for its live events. Over the last few years, with covid-related restrictions in place, the team has had to get a little more creative. 2020 featured a mixed reality stage to make the crowd-free competition feel more exciting, while last year eschewed a live show altogether for a gigantic music video tied to the release of Arcane on Netflix. This year, with the promise of a return to a packed arena at the Chase Center in San Francisco, the team wanted to create a spectacle that would work both for those in the audience and fans watching at home. That ruled out AR, which is only really cool when you’re staring at a screen. Instead, they decided to utilize multiple technologies, including a massive jumbotron-style display at ground level and a stage covered with thousands of LED tiles. Arguably the highlight, though, is the impressively huge holograms. In 2019, Riot utilized a technology called a 3D Holonet, essentially a high-tech gauze that images can be projected onto to create a holographic effect. That’s how the members of the fictional hip-hop group True Damage were able to perform on stage in Paris. This year, the team is using the same tools but on a much larger scale. There are three Holonet panels, which stretch as tall as 48 feet, which is how they were able to pull off the massive mech moment. But it was also utilized for much smaller and more complex moments. At one point during the opening ceremony, League character Pyke showed up and appeared to use his trademark move, the “bone skewer,” to pull a real person toward him. It was an effect that required multiple elements: a hologram to bring Pyke to life, precise lighting cues to create a sense of movement, and multiple performers capable of hitting those cues perfectly. “The technical complexity and ambition this year is, in my experience, a new peak,” executive producer Nick Troop explains.

“Because of the amazing job by our Crisis Negotiators, SWAT, Detectives & Patrol, two men in the house came outside & were arrested w/o incident,” APD tweeted. 🔴 👉 𝐂𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 🔴 👉 𝐂𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 The department said the suspects are being checked out by medical personnel and pending charges are unknown. ORIGINAL: Multiple officers and SWAT are at a home responding to occupants refusing to exit. A shelter-in-place was issued around the area of 12th Avenue and Dallas Street while police attempt to negotiate with the two people inside a home, one of whom police said has outstanding warrants. The incident began at approximately 10:25 a.m. when someone found their stolen vehicle and shots were fired after a confrontation. The victim called 911 and officers are now trying to get the people out of a house in the area and they’re refusing to come out. “SWAT Officers, to include Crisis Negotiators, are attempting to make contact with the occupants of the house in hopes of a peaceful resolution. We are asking you to refrain from coming into the area,” the Aurora Police Department said. This is a breaking story and will be updated as new information is received.

Na Jung-ju is a 30 year-old woman whose life is going nowhere, and she blames her misery on a failed high school romance with Jo Ha-ni, who has since become a famous singer. Her old schoolfriend Oh Tae-hun, who used to have a big crush on her, is now a successful and wealthy businessman, and she regrets not having gone out with him. After being given the chance to travel back in time, Jung-ju goes back to 1994 where she tries to convince her younger self to date the future businessman. 🔴 👉 𝐂𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 🔴 👉 𝐂𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 Advertising can make or break a new game release. Good marketing shows players why they should be interested in the game quickly and efficiently. When it comes to mobile games, however, it seems as though many of them have taken the complete opposite approach. There's no shortage of mobile game ads that are weird, wild, or just plain misleading, but all of them seem to avoid actually showing the game. The idea of not showing the game may seem strange at first, but it certainly seems to work. Marvel Snap, for example, has ads that focus on its card art or developer interviews, rather than showing actual gameplay. Marvel Snap's ads are nowhere near as strange as some other mobile games and don't try to present the game as something it isn't, however. State of Survival, Lilly's Garden, Project Makeover, and Evertale are particularly noteworthy for their ads, especially when considering how they compare to the actual games. A wide majority of the ads for these four games show very little actual gameplay if any. What's even stranger is how often the ads show shocking content to try and drive interest. Looking at these four games, a trend starts to emerge that may just explain why mobile game companies have gotten so weird with their ads.

The company aired an advert during this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw – which was a ‘best of’ edition recapping the greatest moments of 2022 – which confirmed a Pitch Black match will take place on January 28. 🔴 👉 𝐂𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 🔴 👉 𝐂𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 The video shows shots of the live audience at WWE shows before the lights drop out, complete with dark, creepy clips from other unidentifiable matches. A mystery figure can be seen silhouetted too, and while they do look a little like Hall of Famer Edge, it seems more likely that Bray Wyatt will be involved given the font used and the dark nature of the match. The text in the clip reads: ‘When it’s the Pitch Black match, anything can happen!’ In an unusual twist, the new match is sponsored by Mountain Dew and takes its name from the soda brand’s new flavour, but presumably that won’t have any bearing on the actual in-ring action. Fans are speculating over who could be involved, with plenty of people pointing out the figure’s stance and making comparisons to Edge. Others are pushing for Wyatt, with one fan tweeted: ‘Something tells me this match might involve Bray Wyatt’. ‘This got Bray Wyatt all over it’, added another viewer, while a third person referenced his current on-screen rival and quipped: ‘RIP LA Knight. It was good knowing you.’

Michael Moreno, a reputed member of the Mexican Mafia, has been jailed for more than nine years on a charge that he helped orchestrate a novel but ultimately thwarted alliance with a Mexican drug cartel that wanted to trade money and drugs for protection in prison and muscle on the streets. 🔴 👉 𝐂𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 🔴 👉 𝐂𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 After pleading guilty this year, Moreno, 65, stood before U.S. District Judge Christina A. Snyder on Wednesday dressed in a white jumpsuit, hands shackled to the waist, his salt and pepper hair cropped short. The judge asked if he wanted to say anything before he was sentenced. “No, I’m OK,” he said. “I’m OK.” Snyder sentenced Moreno to 11 years in prison. Because of the time he has spent in custody and credit he’s entitled to for completing a substance abuse program and not being disciplined while behind bars, Moreno is expected to be released soon, said his lawyer, Robert Bernstein. Among the conditions of a four-year probation, Snyder forbade Moreno from associating with members of the Mexican Mafia “or others known to be participants in the Mexican Mafia’s criminal activities, with the exception of family members.” No other family has contributed more members to the Mexican Mafia, the prison-based syndicate that controls Latino gang members in prison and on the streets of Southern California, than the Morenos. “I got a family, big family,” Moreno’s younger brother, Tommy, testified at a recent trial. “I’ve got nine brothers and six sisters. Out of my nine brothers, five of them are Mexican Mafia members.” There is Michael, better known as “Mike Boo”; Jesse, nicknamed “Pelon,” serving a life sentence for racketeering and said by his lawyers at 83 to be seriously ill; Eddie, who died of an overdose behind bars; Pete, doing life in Arizona for shooting to death a man outside a Phoenix bar; and Tommy, known as “T-Bug,” who has been in prison since 1983 for bank robbery and attacking another inmate at the Lompoc penitentiary.
